Determining if your unit has the optional heatstrip accessory installed

1. Quick way: The selector switch (left side control knob) says LO HEAT vs. LO FAN as its first setting after OFF. (not a definitive test).

2. Best way: After removing the filter grill, look thru the right side air intake grid and look for an extra harness (grey) in addition to the green harness plugging into the same area as the green harness (closer to you into a connector like the connector the green harness plugs into).

3. Worst way: Turn the unit to the first on position with the control knob and wait to see if warm air is generated (not a definitive test).
